Senior Capstone Project - Affordable Insulin Pump
Individuals with Type I diabetes need to maintain their blood sugar at a consistent level to maintain a healthy lifestyle. One of the ways they do that is with an Insulin Pump. However, most insulin pumps on the market are expensive. Even with health insurance, it can cost several hundreds of dollars to purchase an insulin pump. My design team's aim is to reduce the cost of an insulin pump by developing an assembly kit that can be customized by the user. The benefit is that any part that breaks can easily be replaced, without the cost of replacing the entire pump. Please visit the Senior Capstone Project page for more details.
Mechatronics II - Return to Mars Robot
The 2016 Design Day Junior's competition for the Department of Mechanical Engineering was to have built a functioning remote controlled robot to build buildings from wooden blocks and to collect and sort rocks for a Mars based site. Our team worked with two others to build 3 robots to work together to complete the tasks within a set time limit. Our team build a robot that was tasked with building the tallest structure and succeed on Design Day. More information can be found on the Mechatronics II page.
